There must have been a string tying us together, bringing two people from different families, upbringings, and hometowns to the same city at just the right time. Matt is from Sacramento, and I (Nhi) am from Houston, but we met and really connected in San Antonio.

From the beginning, our connection was instant—effortless and natural. It was like finding a home in each other. Matt’s outgoing and adventurous spirit perfectly balances my quiet and introspective nature, and together, we’ve built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventures. Whether exploring new places or bonding over our shared love of food, we’ve always found joy in life’s little moments together.

Matt completely surprised me during a gondola ride to the peak of Heavenly Mountain in Lake Tahoe right before Thanksgiving day. As we reached the peak, Matt got on one knee and popped the question! Of course, this was the easiest yes.
